We are excited to announce that we have been awarded a Norm Steele Memorial Seed Grant by the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Association! With these funds, the CCMGA will help us purchase compost, soil, seedlings and supplies to build our own compost bin. Our garden consists of a Pollinator Garden and seven raised beds for vegetables and herbs that are unied in our community meals recipes. Our garden also provides volunteer and educational opportunities for individuals and groups who support Wayside as well as enhances an adjacent green space that is well-used by community members. With the help of our volunteers and support from our partners at Skillins Greenhouses and Lucas Tree Experts, we can't wait to get the growing season started and continue to cultivate our space as a gathering place for our neighbors!
