Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we have turkeys on the brain. Last year, 1,300 turkeys were donated to Wayside, and we are hoping to exceed that number this year.
Your donation
This is where you come in. Please consider making a turkey donation to Wayside this year. Donated turkeys and Thanksgiving food items are prepared and served at our community meals, given to clients at mobile food pantries, and distributed to the 41 hunger relief organizations we work with in Cumberland County. Last year, 1,300 turkeys were donated to Wayside, and we are hoping to exceed that number this year.
Earlier is better
Early turkey donations are appreciated. Collecting, allocating and distributing 1,300-plus turkeys is quite an undertaking, so getting turkey donations early helps greatly.
