Two eighth graders from Breakwater Learning collected over 300 lbs of food for our community. For an integrated studies unit, seventh and eighth grade students are studying all aspects of money - from history, design, finance and politics. Two eighth grade boys decided to research money inquality and poverty. For their service project, they decided to hold a food drive at their school, requesting students and their families donate nonperishable items. What an amazing opportunity to research and give back to our community. The food donated will be sorted by volunteers in our warehouse and shared with our network of partner agencies across Cumberland County. Photo by Breakwater Learning
